Established in the Thameside village of Wargrave in January 1992, the Madelaine Kelly School
of Dancing offers ballet classes for children from the age of 3 years old and modern and
tap for children from the age of 5 years old. Pupils are given the opportunity to enter
for RAD and ISTD examinations, however examinations are not compulsory and pupils may
move on to the next level when the required standard has been achieved.

Other classes taught include Teenage Jazz, Freestyle Urban, Body Conditioning, Adult Ballet, Adult Tap, GCSE and AS Level Dance.
In addition to weekly classes the school organises workshops, theatre trips and summer
dance courses.
Wherever possible, children are given the opportunity to perform and every child is
given the chance to participate in the School’s biennial show.
The School has approximately 250 pupils who are taught by qualified and dedicated teachers
in safe and comfortable environments including the Hare Hatch Village Hall, Crazies Hill
Village Hall and the Woodclyffe Hall, Wargrave.
The aim of the School is to promote the love and understanding of dance and to nurture
the physical, cognitive and creative development of each child in order that they achieve their potential.
